Leo Jackpot suspended by Malta Gaming Authority

LeoJackpot logoLeo Jackpot, the online casino owned and operated by Soft Bet Limited has suspended its services. It has emerged that Soft Bet Limited did not meet all requirements stipulated by the Malta Gaming Authority and as a result, its license has been temporarily suspended.

Leo Jackpot is powered by NetEnt as well as other gaming providers and offers games for both desktop and mobile. The casino opened its door in 2014 with its software driven by NetEnt, Evolution Gaming, iSoftBet, and 1X2Gaming.

On the 28th of July, Soft Bet Limited sent out an email to all its players and affiliates that they will be suspending all gaming operations as well as suspending all transactions including deposits and withdrawals.

The reasons for suspension are not clear as investigations are still in progress but the company and its operators have been arrested for money laundering and other fraudulent activities.

The letter issued to Soft Bet Limited read as follows;

“The Malta Gaming Authority (hereinafter the ‘Authority’) is hereby notifying that Soft Bet Limited, remote gaming licence MGA/CL2/166/2003, has been suspended as of 28th July, 2015.”

“Soft Bet Limited has thus been directed to indefinitely suspend all gaming operations, cease to register new players, suspend all transactions on all websites, including deposits and withdrawals, and submit all data and documentation requested by the Authority.”

Soft Bet Limited is not authorized to continue conducting any gaming services. Players who desire to withdraw funds from their accounts should send an email to [email protected] at which they will be helped to process their withdrawal.
